It was almost as if darkness was watching him, creeping into his mind. Every time he tried to focus his mind, he could see it there, lurking in the corners, waiting for him to slip. Last Season he had done just that. Something had come over him...he just was so out of it. He wasn't focused, all efforts seemed beyond him. How to stop it he didn't know. Right now however, it was not his concern. His concern was what sat upon the horizon, what the dawn would be bringing for him, the fight with kurios.

He cracked his neck, letting it echo around the empty locker room. Once again, he sat their alone. Hawk  probably could've done something with others....but being alone just seemed to fit him. Worrying about others was just a nuisance. No matter, it was irrelevant. He is on his own tonight, and continuing on that road was no problem.

He let his body slack forward, leaning over his lap with his hands resting on his knees. The situation was beginning to dull. Just sitting around wouldn't help his sense of battle, it would only make the allow his blade to rust. Hawk  shook his head and mumbled to himself.

"I suppose I should find something to do with my time after all...."

With a grunt, he got to his feet. His body felt stiff, he had been sitting there for a while, just staring off. Deep in thought about something....but he couldn't remember at all. Something seemed wrong, he couldn't tell what, but there was that feeling in the back of his mind, that grip of......fear? No. It wasn't fear. He had nothing to fear right now. But something was off......but he had no time to ponder what it was. Soon tonight would arrive and he'd be left at the mercy of sharks while he allowed his mind to drift with the waves. He couldn't just allow himself to be at their mercy, allow himself to just be at the point of abuse because of others.

He took steps casually toward the door and allowed it to swing onto the hinges as he threw it open. It wasn't something could worry about now. Now it was time to get ready a plan of action. A plot for another battle..battle with kuriors. There was no reason to fear losing this war. Battles would be lost, but eventually, the history that will be told would belong to them. They wouldn't be written as gods, no, they would be written as men. But they would be written as men above others, the truth in ink. They would be written in as the people they deserve to be known as, not as the ignorant see them as. History is written by the victors, and no matter how many victors have lied in the past when they wrote the story....the order would write the truth.

They would no longer be ignorant, no longer allow the darkness to conquer the world. They would be the saving grace, the light of salvation for the world. This would be only another battle for him to fight in his crusade....and this crusade would be the purifying cleanse of this world. No more lies, no more darkness....only the truth.

Just Then Jacob Lews slammed the door shut behind him.

Jacob Lews: Deep stuff, Hawk. Clever as usual. But I am not into cryptic crap. I like to keep it straight. And when I keep it straight it includes telling all of the haters off. All of the smart marks said Hawk isn't a draw. Smarks are claiming that Hawk is a paper champion in a C rate fed. Wrong. Hawk is not a paper champion. And I indeed just take a shot. I think Haw turned this C rate fed into a B- because an amazing champion can't make up for an entire roster of fuck ups, right? Well the fans better appreciate Hawk's perfomance tonight because it can't get better than that in UWF.
